Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in a vibrant café environment. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional guest experiences through the preparation of high-quality beverages and food items. Your enthusiasm for coffee and customer service will help create a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons. You would also be required to help in the kitchen at times with simple tasks.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the café, including the kitchen and dining areas.
- Assist with food preparation, ensuring all items meet quality standards.
- Provide outstanding guest services by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and responding to inquiries.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
- Demonstrate basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is essential; we require at least 1 years experience in a similar role.
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods effectively while maintaining quality service.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being capable of working independently when required.
