We're looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at Tŷ Hotel Milford Waterfront. If you're passionate about creating great dishes, leading by example, and helping a busy kitchen run smoothly, we'd love to hear from you.
Situated right on Milford Marina, our hotel offers stunning views, a vibrant atmosphere, and a team that's passionate about delivering memorable experiences for every guest.
What you'll be doing
Working closely with the Head Chef, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen by:
- Supporting and leading the kitchen team during busy services
- Helping to deliver consistently high-quality food and presentation
- Ordering and managing stock effectively
- Monitoring food costs and helping with menu planning
- Ensuring food safety and HACCP standards are always maintained
- Reducing waste and promoting sustainable kitchen practices
- Working closely with our restaurant team to deliver a seamless guest experience
- Coaching, motivating and developing team members
We're looking for someone who
- Has a recognised chef qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
- Has at least 3 years' experience in a quality hotel or restaurant environment
- Understands menu costing and kitchen financial controls
- Has a strong knowledge of food safety and HACCP procedures
- Holds Food Hygiene Level 2 (or higher)
- Enjoys leading and developing others
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and remains calm under pressure
- Brings energy, passion and creativity to the kitchen
