We are looking for an ‘experienced’ Cafe Assistant/Barista to join our wonderful team.
*Barista trained is essential for this role*
Approximately 30-35 hours/week over 5 days.
@Katie’s is a successful, family run eatery based at Affinity Lancashire in Fleetwood.
The Role:
Looking for somebody who is reliable and fully dedicated to the role - also being an asset to our established team.
As well as your day to day responsibilities, the role has an emphasis on team work & professionalism.
@Katie’s is open 7 days a week and you will be required to work weekends.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Supporting the Management Team in running of the business; always ensuring that the best interest of the business and other staff members is maintained
- Maintaining health & hygiene safety regulations to a high standard
- Communicating with customers and offering advice relating to house keeping and menu
- Stock & waste control
- Preparing & delivery of orders to seated customers in a timely and friendly manner
- Barista trained is essential and fully competent to complete hot & cold drink orders in a timely manner
- Taking orders via a POS system
- Use of the dishwasher and ensure that the cafe, kitchen & toilet areas are kept clean and free from hazards at all times
Person Specification:
- Exemplary customer service skills
- Happy and positive attitude at all times
- Team player
- Excellent time keeping
- Experience in catering and hospitality in a similar role
- Barista trained
- Work well under pressure, within a fast paced environment and possess strong interpersonal skills
- Remain loyal and trustworthy to the company at all times
- Escalating any concerns noted/raised to the senior management team in an appropriate manner and time frame
- Experience of working in a fast-pace, customer facing role
- Excellent communication skills
- Great attention to detail
- Food hygiene Level 2 or happy to undertake
- Driving Licence is desirable
