The Role
We are looking for an experienced Class 1 HGV Shunter to join our Transport team in Corby.
This role is responsible for moving materials between our four sites as well as moving trailers on and off bays, helping to keep production and dispatch operations running efficiently. The successful candidate will have a Class 1 licence, previous HGV driving experience and experience operating a Terberg.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Double deck / single deck trailer movements of raw materials and finished goods between our sites
- Movements on / off loading bays for loading / unloading
- Local collections and deliveries of raw materials, finished goods and vehicles for maintenance bookings
- Organising the yard and conducting daily checks
- Undertaking daily pre & post-inspections of your Terberg in line with DVSA requirements
- Performing basic repairs and maintenance and prompt defect reporting to ensure vehicle roadworthiness is maintained
- Safely securing vehicle loads before any movements
- Liaising with all departments and the transport office regarding ETA’s and movement updates
- Complying with all vehicle compliance and health & safety engagement procedures
- Occasional warehouse duties/operational duties including loading, refuelling and cleaning when movements are all up-to-date
Key Requirements
- Minimum two years class 1 HGV driving experience with less than 6 penalty points
- Valid driving license, digicard and CPC card (preferably up to date with training hours during current 5-year cycle)
- Terberg experience

Salary & Benefits
- £40,968.23 basic salary + paid overtime

Working Pattern
Average 45 hours per week on a rotating three-week shift pattern:
- Week 1: 6am–3pm (Mon–Fri)
- Week 2: 1pm–1pm (Mon–Fri)
- Week 3: 10pm–7am (Sun–Thurs)
Flexibility may be required to provide holiday cover as/when needed.
