At Garforth care homes we are looking for a kitchen assistant to work either 15.30- 18.30 or 08:00- 14:00 (12 hours over a seven day period, including alternate weekends) to complement our longstanding and established team. This role will predominantly be for evening shifts.
There are two care homes side by side, The Hollies (Specialist dementia service) and St Armand's Court, where residents have more general care needs, staff will be required to work at one site, or over both if required.
Kitchen assistants will be responsible for preparing breakfast, support with cooking lunch, offering drinks and snacks, cleaning the kitchen and dining room, preparing vegetables for the following day and preparing tea and supper.
Salary is £10.85 per hour for under 18's or £12.71 for those over 18. Full training will be provided.
