Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Barista to join our team at Starbucks. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a vibrant café setting, engaging with diverse customers while honing your barista skills. Prior experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided, but a passion for coffee and customer satisfaction is essential.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a range of beverages including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks in accordance with Starbucks standards.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring a friendly and professional interaction at all times.
- Handle cash transactions and operate the till system with precision.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and customer areas to comply with health and safety regulations.
- Restock supplies such as cups, lids, condiments, and ingredients as needed throughout shifts.
- Assist in opening and closing procedures to ensure the smooth running of daily operations.
- Uphold high standards of hygiene and presentation in line with company policies.
- Engage positively with customers to create an inviting atmosphere that encourages repeat business.

- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in orders and cleanliness standards.
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is advantageous but not essential; enthusiasm for learning is more important.
- Basic numeracy skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and evenings may be required.
