Overview
As a Tipper Driver, you will be responsible for operating heavy-duty tipper trucks to transport and deliver materials safely and efficiently during night shifts. Your role involves precise driving, vehicle maintenance, and ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to safety regulations. Responsibilities
- Safely operate tipper trucks to transport construction materials or bulk goods during night hours
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking mechanical components and fluid levels
- Load and unload materials with care, ensuring proper securing of loads for safe transit
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and compliance records
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered on the road
- Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies at all times
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance or report mechanical issues promptly to ensure optimal performance
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with heavy-duty or tipper trucks
- Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues
- Valid driver’s license with appropriate endorsements for heavy vehicles
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for commercial transportation
- Ability to work night shifts consistently and adapt to changing schedules
- Experience operating excavators is a plus but not mandatory
- Excellent communication skills and a responsible attitude towards safety and punctuality
