Female Live-In Support Worker – Complex Care
Norwich
£850–£950 per week
We are recruiting experienced and dependable Female Live-In Support Workers to join an established complex-care package in Norwich.
We are looking to build a consistent team of two Live-In Support Workers who can provide continuity through an alternating live-in arrangement.
This is a dedicated live-in opportunity rather than a standard visiting-care role. You will spend your agreed working period within the person's home, providing consistent, person-centred support and helping to maintain established routines, wellbeing and independence.
We are particularly interested in candidates who understand that successful live-in support depends on trust, consistency, patience and respecting that you are working within somebody else's home.
Please note: Employment visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Applicants must already have the unrestricted Right to Work in the UK at the time of application.
THE ROLE
As a Female Live-In Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support in line with the individual's agreed care plan, routines and ways of working.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing consistent support throughout your agreed live-in period.
- Supporting established daily routines and activities.
- Promoting dignity, choice, independence and wellbeing.
- Building a professional and trusting relationship with the person you support.
- Following individual care plans, risk assessments and agreed ways of working.
- Maintaining clear and accurate care records.
- Communicating effectively with colleagues, family members and operational teams as appropriate.
- Recognising changes or concerns and escalating them through the appropriate channels.
- Maintaining appropriate professional boundaries while working within the person's home.
- Completing all required package-specific training and competency assessments before working independently.
ABOUT YOU
Live-in support requires a particular approach. We are looking for someone who is:
- Calm, patient and respectful.
- Reliable and able to commit consistently to an agreed live-in rota.
- Comfortable spending extended periods working within somebody's home.
- Able to maintain clear professional boundaries.
- Person-centred and respectful of individual routines, preferences and privacy.
- Confident working independently while knowing when to seek guidance or escalate concerns.
- Organised and able to maintain accurate records.
- A good communicator who can build trust gradually and professionally.
- Comfortable completing all required training and competency assessments.
Previous experience within care, support work or live-in care would be advantageous.
Previous live-in experience is desirable rather than essential where a candidate has strong relevant care experience and can demonstrate the right values, reliability and ability to work safely within the service.
WORKING PATTERN
This opportunity is intended to create a two-person alternating live-in arrangement, providing greater consistency and resilience within the service.
The exact live-in rota and working arrangements will be discussed fully during the recruitment process so that applicants understand the expectations before progressing.
PAY
£850–£950 per week, depending on experience and the agreed working arrangement.
SAFER RECRUITMENT
All appointments are subject to satisfactory safer recruitment checks, including identity and Right to Work verification, full employment history, satisfactory references, DBS checks and any training or competency requirements relevant to the service.
This position is for female applicants due to the specific requirements of the person receiving support. This requirement is applied in accordance with the occupational requirement provisions of the Equality Act 2010.
If you are an experienced, reliable and person-centred Female Support Worker who is comfortable with live-in working and would like to become a consistent part of an established Norwich care package, we would like to hear from you.
