SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School – LE1
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: 37.5 Hours a week term time only
Pay: from £90 per day (PAYE - no umbrella deductions)
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional learning needs within a welcoming primary school. You will work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to provide tailored support that enables students to thrive academically and socially.
Key Requirements:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN.
- Support children with Autism, ADHD, and communication needs.
- Encourage engagement during lessons and classroom activities.
- Monitor and record pupil progress.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Previous experience supporting children in an educational setting.
- Understanding of SEN needs and strategies.
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent
