About the Role
Adept Dental Laboratory is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Plaster Room Assistant to join our growing team.The Plaster Room Assistant plays a vital role in the laboratory workflow, ensuring dental impressions are accurately processed and prepared for production. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in accuracy, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.Previous dental laboratory experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training can be provided for the right candidate.
Key ResponsibilitiesImpression Management
- Receive, log and disinfect incoming dental impressions in accordance with laboratory procedures and infection control standards.
- Check impressions against prescriptions and report any discrepancies or defects.
- Ensure all cases are correctly identified and tracked throughout the workflow.
Model Production
- Mix dental stone and plaster accurately to laboratory specifications.
- Pour, trim, base and label study models and working models.
- Articulate models as required and prepare cases for Crown & Bridge, Prosthetics, Orthodontics and CAD/CAM departments.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy and consistency in all model work.
Laboratory Maintenance
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe plaster room environment.
- Clean and maintain equipment in accordance with laboratory procedures.
- Safely dispose of waste materials and comply with health and safety requirements.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to management.

- Understanding of infection control procedures and health and safety requirements.
- Experience with digital dental workflows or 3D printing.
