We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of delicious sandwiches while ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene. You will play a vital part in delivering exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their orders, and promoting our menu offerings through effective upselling techniques.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to customer specifications and company recipes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the deli station, adhering to food safety standards.
- Assist customers in selecting their sandwich options and providing recommendations.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timing and delivery of orders during peak hours.
- Handle food preparation tasks including slicing vegetables, meats, and cheeses as needed.
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth order operations and excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in sandwich making is preferred.
- Must have Food Safety and Hygiene certificate.
- Basic culinary skills with a passion for food presentation.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to help customers effectively.
