Responsibilities
- Utilise hand tools and power tools to carry out construction, repair, and maintenance tasks efficiently and safely.
- Execute bricklaying and masonry work with attention to detail to ensure structural integrity and aesthetic quality.
- Perform carpentry duties including framing, fitting, and finishing work as required.
- Assist with roofing installations, repairs, or replacements, ensuring proper sealing and weatherproofing.
- Operate welding equipment to join metal components securely when necessary.
- Follow technical drawings, specifications, and safety guidelines throughout all tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are stored correctly after use.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects within designated timeframes while adhering to safety standards.
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers, chisels, saws, and screwdrivers.
- Experience with bricklaying and masonry techniques for various structures.
- Knowledge of power tools including drills, grinders, saws, and sanders.
- Competence in carpentry tasks such as framing, fitting doors/windows, and finishing work.
- Ability to perform roofing tasks safely and effectively.
- Welding skills for metal fabrication or repairs are highly desirable.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to follow technical instructions accurately.
