Warning Zone is a well established safety education charity, working with over 2700 schools and reaching more than 11,000 Year 6 pupils each year through our immersive Safety Centre programme.
Alongside this, we deliver a growing secondary school programme, including Road Crew and targeted workshops, reaching thousands of young people as they become more independent and face increasingly complex risks. We also work with teachers, parents and adults with additional needs, helping them build confidence to recognise risk and support others.
This is an exciting time to join Warning Zone, as we expand into new areas of work, grow our programmes and increase the impact we have with young people, families and communities.
We are looking for a confident, hands on individual who enjoys working with people and wants to play a direct role in delivering impactful education that helps others make safer choices.
Why this work matters
Young people are increasingly exposed to gambling like behaviours through gaming, social media and online environments, often without recognising the risks.
Features such as loot boxes, in game purchases and digital rewards can normalise risk taking and influence how young people think about money, chance and decision making. These experiences can have wider impacts on confidence, behaviour and future choices.
At Warning Zone, we focus on early, preventative education, helping young people recognise these risks, think critically and make safer decisions before harm develops. This role plays a direct part in delivering that work, supporting young people, and the adults around them, to better understand and respond to these challenges
About the role
This is a practical, delivery focused role with a strong emphasis on working directly with people.
You will be delivering and supporting sessions in schools, primarily with young people, but also with teachers, professionals, parents and adults with additional needs. You will also work with our Youth Advisory Group and support the development of programme content and resources.
Alongside delivery, you will support coordination, administration and evaluation, helping ensure the programme runs smoothly and has a clear impact.
While this role is funded through the Gambling Harms Prevention Programme, you will work flexibly across all Warning Zone programmes, particularly supporting our secondary school provision.
Training in gambling harms and programme content will be provided.
