Due to ongoing success and expansion, OCM Wealth Management are looking for an experienced, knowledgeable and personable Management Accountant to join their Accounting team.
Job Overview
The core duties of the Management Accountant are to work with the Finance Manager and in the production of all accounting documents to facilitate the board reporting functions for all financial functions of the firm.
The duties will primarily involve the day-to-day management of QuickBooks ensuring the accuracy of information required for the regulatory function of the business.
To be effective the individual will be required to report in a structured manner and be hard working, diligent, organised and be able to drive the implementation of operation projects fully supported by the Finance Manager and JSL to ensure that compliance and TCF processes are respected.
Reporting to the Finance Manager the successful applicant will be responsible for: -
- Working alongside the accounts assistant, recording all income and costs in QuickBooks to produce accounts
- Reconciling QuickBooks with regulatory registers to record income
- Monthly invoicing as is required
- Ensuring correct capitalisation of fixed assets and monthly asset reconciliations
- Preparation of prepayments and associated balance sheet reconciliation
- Preparation of monthly management accounts
- Preparation of monthly payment run
- Monthly cash flow reconciliation
- Monthly debtors reconciliation
- Reconciling receipts against expectation across all client accounts and providing a variance report monthly
- Production of Sales Reports, P&L, Expenses and Cash Flow;
- Expenses management for staff
- Keep track of supplier contracts and arrange renewal where required.
- Testing the systems and controls within the business to ensure they are robust and work.
- Work with the Financial Manager to ensure strong financial control of all aspects of the business are carried out.
