Job Title: Part-Time Bar Supervisor
Location: The bricklayers arms
Hours: 20-30 per week, evenings and weekends
Salary: £13
Reports to: General Manager / Assistant manager
About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Part-Time Bar Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of staff, you will support the day-to-day running of the bar, ensuring smooth service, excellent customer experience, and adherence to licensing and hygiene regulations.
This role is ideal for someone with previous hospitality experience looking to take the next step or for an experienced supervisor seeking a flexible part-time position.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the bar team during shifts and ensure smooth daily operations
- Deliver excellent customer service and handle any customer issues professionally
- Open and/or close the bar, including cashing up tills and securing the premises
- Monitor stock levels and assist in restocking, ordering, and stock rotation
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff and customers
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health & safety, and hygiene standards
- Train and support junior staff where required
- Assist in planning and delivering events or busy trading periods
Requirements
- Previous bar or hospitality experience (minimum 1 year preferred)
- Confident, friendly, and professional manner
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- First aid or health & safety training (advantageous)
