About the Role
As a Senior Support Worker, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality care while supporting the day-to-day running of the home. You'll lead shifts, mentor colleagues and help create a safe, structured and therapeutic environment where children and young people can thrive.
Working closely with the Registered Manager and wider team, you'll help maintain high standards of care, promote positive relationships and ensure every child receives the consistency, encouragement and support they deserve.

Your Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality emotional and practical support to children and young people.
- Lead shifts and support the effective day-to-day operation of the home.
- Act as a positive role model and mentor for colleagues.
- Support the development and implementation of care plans, risk assessments and therapeutic strategies.
- Promote a safe, nurturing and structured environment that encourages positive outcomes.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures, company policies and Ofsted standards are followed at all times.
- Build positive relationships with families, social workers and other professionals.
- Complete accurate records, reports and daily documentation.
- Contribute to a positive team culture focused on delivering outstanding care.
About You
We're looking for someone who is passionate about supporting children, confident in leading others and committed to delivering high-quality care.
You'll have:
- A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or an equivalent qualification (essential).
- Previous experience working within a children's residential care setting.
- Experience leading shifts, mentoring colleagues or the confidence and ability to step into a senior position.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A resilient, compassionate and child-centred approach.
- A commitment to safeguarding and achieving positive outcomes for young people.
- A full UK driving licence (preferred).
