The hours offered are for an AM Post 08:00 to 14:00pm, Monday to Friday. However you may be required to cover holiday and sickness leave at short notice.
We are looking for a GP Care Co-ordinator work in our fast paced and friendly practice in Slough. Previous GP practice admin experience would be an advantage. Basic computer skills and a good customer service background is required to meet this role.
Your role will focus on establishing the needs of the patients, ensuring that these are met in a timely manner. You will be required to signpost the patient to the appropriate service or healthcare practitioner to meet the best outcome for their needs. The role will involve liaising with patients, their relatives and clinical and administrative teams, both within the practice and secondary care services.
The post holder will ensure practice targets are met by regularly contacting patients to attend clinics/appointments at the practice to include, Flu vaccinations, Childhood Vaccinations, Cytology, Diabetes, New Patient Registrations, Health and Wellbeing clinics, and by pursuing any other targets required by the practice.
Full training and support will be provided to the successful candidate, in addition to this you will receive online training for all mandatory and complimentary training needs. The successful candidate will need to be DBS checked for this role.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to multitask, attention to detail, efficiency, professionalism, good timekeeping and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
