We are seeking a dedicated Social Work Advanced Practitioner to join our multi-disciplinary team. You will work closely with social workers, early help case managers, family support workers, and practitioners from Women’s Aid and Change, Grow, Live. This role is vital in providing leadership and support to a small team while working with children and families in need of help and protection.
As a Social Work Advanced Practitioner, your key responsibilities will include:

Supervising and Supporting: Provide professional supervision and mentorship to team members, fostering reflective practice and professional growth.

Managing Cases: Carry a limited but complex caseload, ensuring effective case management and timely reviews.

Championing Best Practices: Promote evidence-based practice, particularly in safeguarding and court work, to ensure the best outcomes for children and families.

Collaborating with Partners: Work alongside various agencies to coordinate support and resources for families in need.

Leading Reflective Supervision: Facilitate group supervision sessions to encourage team development and shared learning.
To be successful in this role, you will need:

A recognised Social Work Qualification and registration with Social Work England.

A minimum of three years’ post-qualifying experience in child and family social work.

Experience in mentoring and supervising others, demonstrating strong leadership skills.

Knowledge of court work and experience with child protection and child in need plans.
