Overview
We are seeking a motivated and caring Care Assistant to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting individuals within care homes and home care settings. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily activities, implementing care plans, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for those in your care. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Support clients in maintaining their independence according to personalized care plans
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering positive relationships
- Use IT systems to update and follow individual care plans accurately
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure seamless care delivery
- Drive or accompany clients on errands or appointments as needed, ensuring safe transportation
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a care home or home care environment is preferred but not essential
- Valid driving license and ability to drive safely for client transportation
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to follow detailed care plans and instructions accurately
- Good IT literacy for updating records and documentation
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring and empathetic approach
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or evenings if required
