Job Summary
We are seeking a personable and professional Tour Guide / Driver Guide to provide engaging and informative experiences for visitors. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading guided tours, ensuring the safety and comfort of guests, and delivering exceptional customer service. Duties
- Lead guided tours for groups of visitors, providing detailed information about sites of interest in an engaging manner
- Safely operate company vehicles, ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations
- Assist guests with boarding and disembarking, ensuring their comfort throughout the journey
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle before and after each tour
- Answer questions from guests, providing additional insights about local history, culture, and attractions
- Organise tour schedules and manage bookings efficiently
- Ensure adherence to health and safety standards at all times during tours
- Provide excellent customer service to enhance visitor experience and encourage positive feedback
Qualifications
- Valid driving licence with a clean driving record
- Previous experience as a tour guide or driver guide is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences
- Strong organisational skills to manage schedules and guest bookings effectively
- Knowledge of local history, geography, or cultural sites is advantageous
- Friendly, approachable demeanour with a professional attitude
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if required
- Basic first aid knowledge is a plus but not mandatory
