Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Catering Operations Manager to oversee the daily functions of our catering services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team, ensuring high standards of service, and coordinating all aspects of catering operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team within a fast-paced environment, ensuring seamless delivery of catering services for various events and functions. Duties
- Lead and supervise the catering team to ensure efficient and professional service delivery
- Coordinate with clients to understand their requirements and customise menus accordingly
- Oversee the planning and execution of catering events from start to finish
- Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies, and maintaining stock control
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Develop and implement operational procedures to optimise efficiency
- Monitor staff performance, provide training, and foster a positive working environment
- Liaise with suppliers, venues, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations
- Handle customer feedback promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction
- Prepare reports on operational performance and suggest improvements
Requirements
- Proven supervisory experience within the catering or hospitality industry
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
- Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work irregular hours including weekends or evenings if required
- Relevant qualifications in hospitality management or related fields are desirable but not essential
