Production Cleaner (Days)
J G Pears (Newark) Ltd is a rendering company that takes animal by-products and turns it into sustainable high-quality products like bio-fuels and pet food ingredients.
We are looking for a Production Cleaner to join our team working on a permanent basis. This is a key role supporting our production operations by ensuring our site, equipment and working areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, safety and efficiency.
The ideal candidate will be reliable, hardworking and have a strong focus on health and safety. A valid Forklift and Telehandler licence or experience is essential for this role.
Working hours - Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 17:00

Responsibilities
As a Production Cleaner, you’ll play a key role in maintaining a safe, clean and efficient production environment. Day-to-day tasks include:
- Cleaning and maintaining production areas, equipment and machinery
- Operating forklift trucks and telehandlers safely across site
- Ensuring work areas are kept clean, tidy and organised
- Supporting production teams with general operational tasks where required
- Removing waste materials and maintaining high standards of housekeeping
- Following all Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures
- Completing relevant checks and reporting any issues to the appropriate team member
- Working safely and efficiently to support the smooth running of daily operations
Requirements
- Valid Forklift licence is essential
- Valid Telehandler licence is essential
- Previous experience within a production, manufacturing or industrial environment is desirable
- Good understanding of Health and Safety
- Reliable with excellent attendance records
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Due to location own transport is essential
