Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Back of House Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our busy restaurant. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure smooth food preparation and service
- Oversee food production processes, maintaining quality and consistency in all dishes
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
- Enforce food safety standards and hygiene regulations across the kitchen
- Assist with food preparation and cooking when necessary to support team operations
- Train new staff members on kitchen procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards
- Monitor staff performance, provide constructive feedback, and foster a positive team environment
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area at all times
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management
- Strong supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
- Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Experience in restaurant or hospitality environments; hotel or barista experience is advantageous
- Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and suppliers
- Familiarity with culinary techniques and a passion for delivering high-quality dishes
- Previous experience in serving or hospitality roles is beneficial but not essential
