Duties
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility to promote independence and comfort
- Support the implementation of personalized care plans tailored to each individual’s needs and preferences
- Maintain clear and respectful communication with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Document observations, care activities, and any changes in health status accurately using IT systems
- Monitor health conditions and report any concerns promptly to senior staff or healthcare providers
- Uphold high standards of hygiene, safety, and confidentiality at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English to understand care plans and document accurately
- Basic IT skills for recording information electronically and updating care records
- Strong communication skills to interact empathetically with residents, families, and team members
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or bank holidays as needed
- A caring attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ well-being
