Experienced Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home

About the Role
Due to continued expansion, Care Perspectives is seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead a large children's residential home in the Black Country.
This is an exciting opportunity to manage a specialist service supporting children and young people with complex mental health needs, helping to prevent admissions to inpatient services and supporting successful step-down transitions from hospital settings.
Many of the young people in our care have experienced early childhood trauma, neglect, and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). Our aim is to provide a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment where they can achieve positive outcomes, improve their emotional wellbeing, and build resilience for the future.
As Registered Manager, you will lead a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, including clinical professionals, ensuring the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Hold overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home.
- Ensure compliance with Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and Ofsted requirements.
- Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing staff team.
- Create a positive, therapeutic culture focused on achieving outstanding outcomes for children and young people.
- Manage recruitment, supervision, performance management, and staff development.
- Work collaboratively with clinical teams, local authorities, families, and external professionals.
- Monitor quality assurance systems and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure safeguarding remains at the heart of all service delivery.
- Maintain occupancy, budgetary control, and operational performance.
- Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections.
About You

Essential Requirements
- Experience as a Registered Manager within a children's residential home.
- Experience managing larger residential services.
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, inspections, and quality standards.
- Proven leadership and people management skills.
- Experience supporting children and young people with complex needs, trauma, emotional and behavioural difficulties, or mental health needs.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete if required).
- Full UK driving licence.
- Track record of achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes.
- Experience working alongside therapeutic or clinical teams.
