Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic FOH (Front of House) Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our vibrant hospitality environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the front-of-house team, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hospitality. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of front-of-house staff, including servers and hosts, to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Oversee food presentation and service standards, ensuring dishes are served promptly and to a high quality.
- Assist in food preparation and cooking when necessary, maintaining a strong understanding of menu items.
- Lead by example in delivering outstanding hospitality and customer service to guests.
- Manage reservations, seating arrangements, and optimise table turnover to maximise efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the dining area.
- Train new staff members on service procedures, health & safety policies, and company standards.
- Handle guest enquiries, complaints, or special requests professionally and efficiently.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Excellent knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
- Previous experience in restaurant service, including serving and hospitality roles.
- Familiarity with food production processes and kitchen operations is highly desirable.
- Experience in hotel or barista roles is advantageous but not essential.
- Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism.
- Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in managing guest experiences.
