Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and sterile
- Provide compassionate patient care by explaining treatments, alleviating anxieties, and ensuring patient comfort throughout visits
- Manage patient records accurately using IT systems, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with data protection standards
- Support infection control protocols by sterilizing equipment, managing clinical waste, and maintaining a clean treatment environment
- Coordinate appointment scheduling, follow-up visits, and patient communications to optimize clinic efficiency
- Monitor patient vital signs when necessary and assist with emergency situations following established protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients and team members to foster a positive, organized workflow
Qualifications
- Recognized qualification as a Dental Nurse or equivalent certification from an accredited institution
- Proven experience in patient care within a dental or healthcare setting
- Strong command of the English language for clear communication with patients and team members
- Proficiency in IT systems used for managing patient records and appointments
- Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly and reassure patients
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of nursing principles, infection control standards, and health & safety regulations
