Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants (Drivers preferred, non drivers will be considered also) to join our team on a full time basis. Work is located around the Dengie/Maldon area CM3 6EG. In this role, you will provide essential care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, and private homes. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for those you support through personalised care and companionship.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation
- Provide patient care and support for individuals with diverse needs, including Alzheimer’s and dementia care
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients' health conditions
- Engage in behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions
- Support clients in maintaining their independence while ensuring their safety
- Perform heavy lifting as required when assisting clients with mobility or transfers
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Document care provided and report any changes in client conditions to the appropriate personnel
Experience
- Previous experience in domiciliary care desirable but not essential
Essential
- Required to work every other weekend
- A valid driving licence and access to a car is required for this role and will require regular travel around the local area
