Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Food & Beverage Manager to support the smooth operation of our hospitality establishment. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for culinary arts and exceptional service. The successful candidate will assist in managing daily food and beverage operations, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. Previous experience in restaurant, hotel, or golf club is essential, along with strong leadership and team management skills.
Duties
- Assist in overseeing daily food preparation and service to ensure consistency and quality.
- Support the management of kitchen operations, including food safety standards and food production processes.
- Supervise restaurant staff, including serving personnel and kitchen team members, to maintain efficient workflow.
- Contribute to menu planning, development, and implementation in collaboration with the Head Chef or Food & Beverage Manager.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all food and beverage areas.
- Manage stock levels, order supplies, and oversee inventory control to minimise waste.
- Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service and hospitality experience.
- Support training programmes for staff to enhance skills related to food preparation, serving, and safety procedures.
- Assist in organising special events or functions hosted at the venue.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary practices.
- Experience in food safety standards and kitchen operations management.
- Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to manage teams effectively.
- Familiarity with restaurant or bar service including serving techniques and customer engagement.
- Background in food production, hospitality management, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
