Job description
An exciting and rewarding opportunity has opened for an enthusiastic individual to join the authority’s Youth Service to help support and manage the externally funded EOTAS (Education other than at School) & Youth Engagement & Progression (YEP) teams.
As the Team Lead you will work closely with the Youth Engagement and Progression Co-ordinator (Team Manger) supporting the day-to-day operations and allocations of an EOTAS Provision and YEP team. This includes line management of a team of Youth Workers in Blaenau Gwent Youth Service (BGYS). You will support the monitoring and evaluation of the project and report on the project’s delivery and achievements. As this post is agile, you will have the ability to undertake the role within Youth Service facilities and at home.
You will support the Youth Workers to meet the outcomes of the project, support the development of the provision for young people and contribute to the Blaenau Gwent Youth Engagement and Progression Framework Action Plan and attend its various associated meetings.
About you
You will have a degree and/or relevant professional qualification in youth work and demonstrate experience of externally funded projects and alternative education provisions, excellent team leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate staff, and knowledge of monitoring and evaluation.
