About the Role
We are looking for a friendly and motivated Trade Counter and Sales Person to join our branch team. You will welcome trade and retail customers, providing expert product advice, and processing over-the-counter, phone, and email orders.
This is a hands-on role that combines customer service, sales, and general branch operations to ensure our customers get what they need, when they need it.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Greet trade professionals and retail customers warmly, offering product recommendations and expert advice.
- Order Processing: Accurately process cash, card, and account sales using our internal computer systems.
- Quotations: Prepare and follow up on customer quotes via phone and email.
- Stock & Housekeeping: Keep the trade counter and displays clean, well-stocked, and visually appealing.
- Yard Support: Assist with picking orders, loading customer vehicles, and managing inventory control as required.
- Returns: Organising returns from customers back to suppliers, including old units and warranty claims
What We Need From You
- Experience: Previous experience in a motor factor company, trade counter, or customer-facing retail sales role is preferred, but a great attitude is more important.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build lasting rapport with regular trade customers.
- IT Literate: Comfortable using basic computer systems for processing orders and checking inventory.
- Work Ethic: A hands-on, flexible approach and a willingness to help out across different areas of the branch.
- Must have a clean driving license
Pay: £26,500.00 per year
