Hockey Coach Opportunity – Thornbury Hockey ClubLocation: The Castle School Astro, Park Road, Thornbury, Bristol BS35 1HT
Time: anticipated to be Mondays 6-8.30pm
Pay: £20–£30 per hour (depending on qualifications and experience)
Thornbury Hockey Club is seeking one or two enthusiastic coaches to support our club for the upcoming season, with a particular focus on developing our thriving junior section.We are a welcoming and friendly community club with a busy junior section, a men's and ladies' team, and opportunities for players of all ages and abilities. We are looking to appoint one or two individuals who can play a key role in delivering high-quality coaching across the club, with a focus on our junior players while also supporting senior training sessions.We are looking for:
Coaches qualified up to England Hockey Level 2 (or equivalent) Enthusiastic individuals with a passion for developing players of all ages and abilities
Coaches who can deliver fun, inclusive and player-centred sessions for junior and senior teams Reliable team players who can work alongside our volunteers and committee to help grow hockey at Thornbury
Qualifications England Hockey coaching qualification (up to Level 2)
Current Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Current Safeguarding and First Aid qualifications are desirable, particularly for lead coaching responsibilities

Training sessions take place at The Castle School Astro, Thornbury, with coaching opportunities throughout the hockey season. Typical responsibilities will include coaching the junior section we well as senior training sessions for our men's and ladies' teams.This is an excellent opportunity for a coach looking to become an integral part of a community club and help shape the future of hockey at Thornbury.
