Summary
We are seeking Kitchen Assistants to join our in-house catering team for 3 weeks in the summer! . In this role, you will play a vital part in the preparation of our innovative meal offerings, ensuring that we deliver delicious and healthy lunches that children love. This position is essential in supporting our vision of improving children's health through better food choices.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes.
- Assist in service, maintaining a smile with every plate served
- Experience in fast paced environments and within hospitality.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen.
- Help with the organization and cleanliness of the kitchen area.
- Support chefs in meal assembly and packaging for delivery.
- Ensure all ingredients are properly stored and labeled.
- Participate in inventory management by tracking supplies and reporting shortages.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation environment is preferred.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and teamwork capabilities.
- Passion for healthy cooking and child nutrition.
