Join as a Supply Kitchen Assistant
We are looking for dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our Catering Team through our supply staff bank. Working Monday to Friday, we offer the opportunity to support our team by helping prepare and serve school meals. Full-time hours are preferred, though part-time applications will be considered. Your key responsibilities will include assisting with food preparation, serving meals, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen. You will work closely with our Catering Team to help deliver a safe, efficient, and welcoming food service, making this an ideal role for individuals seeking steady, term-time work while contributing to the smooth running of our Trust's main head office and school site.
The Role
As a Kitchen Assistant, your key responsibilities will include assisting with the preparation, cooking, and serving of school meals, washing up and maintaining kitchen equipment and work surfaces, and ensuring food hygiene and health and safety standards are met at all times. You may also support the running of our on-site café, helping to prepare and serve hot and cold drinks, snacks and light meals to staff and visitors. As part of this role, you'll have access to free barista training as part of our CPD offer, giving you the opportunity to develop new skills. You will work closely with our Catering Supervisor and Cook, contributing to a positive food service experience across the site.
