Job Summary
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to elderly residents in a residential care home setting. You will be responsible for supervising and leading a team of care assistants, ensuring the delivery of personalised care plans, and fostering a safe and nurturing environment for residents.
Duties
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals
- Supervise and support care assistants in delivering compassionate care
- Develop and implement individualised care plans
- Utilise IT systems to maintain accurate resident records
- Drive continuous improvement in care standards within the care home
Skills
- Experience in senior care or a similar role
- Strong leadership abilities to guide and motivate a team
- Excellent communication skills to interact with residents and colleagues
- Proficiency in IT systems for record-keeping and reporting
- Understanding of care planning processes in a residential care setting.
