We are looking for an enthusiastic qualified or trainee Dental Nurse to join our friendly and busy team at Rendlesham Dental Practice & Implant Centre.
We are primarily looking for someone to work full-time (5 days per week); however, part-time applications will be considered for the right candidate, with a minimum of 3 full working days per week.

Trainee Dental Nurses
No previous dental nursing experience is required, as full training will be provided.
Following successful completion of a 3-month probation period, we will support you in enrolling on an approved Dental Nursing qualification.
Trainees will complete one paid study day each week from home alongside practical training within the practice.
About the role
As a Dental Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting dentists and clinicians chairside during a wide variety of dental procedures
- Preparing treatment rooms before and after appointments
- Cleaning, sterilising and maintaining dental instruments in line with infection prevention procedures
- Providing excellent patient care and reassurance throughout their visit
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the practice

Working pattern
We are looking for applicants who can work full practice days. While we are happy to consider part-time applicants, we are not currently able to offer shortened or school-hour shifts.
Practice opening hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
- Friday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
Paid working hours are generally 7:45am – 5:15pm, with a one-hour lunch break (usually between 1:00pm and 2:00pm, although this may vary).
Salary
- Qualified Dental Nurses: Competitive salary dependent on experience and qualifications.
- Trainee Dental Nurses: Paid in line with the National Minimum Wage for age. The weekly study day is paid at the applicable apprentice rate while completing the qualification.
Essential requirements for trainee applicants
There are no formal qualifications required to apply. However, good English and maths skills are important for the role.
Applicants will need to meet the entry requirements of our chosen training provider for the Dental Nursing qualification, and these will be discussed during the recruitment process.
