We are now looking for an enthusiastic Warehouse Operative/Fabric Cutter to join our Warehouse Team in Windsor.
Summary of role:
Working in the warehouse and handling our stock with care and packaging products in the best manner for onward shipment to international clients. Ensure our brand is presented in the best manner at all times. Ensuring warehouse standards are maintained throughout the process.
Working with the quality control and fabric allocation team to inspect and cut fabric for orders and ensure quality control processes are completed; including fault reports and cutting fabric accurately. This role involves daily lifting of heavy stock items.
Fabric Cutting Responsibilities:
- Cutting released fabric orders to maintain Company’s high level of quality standards, steaming and repairing when necessary
- Inspecting fabric deliveries and updating fault reports clearly and accurately
- Re-assessing fault reports and batch match existing stock upon request.
- Ensuring the fabrics received are booked in within 48hrs
- Working to help ensure efficient allocations against sales orders and wings to best utilise stock including reducing stock of small rolls, batch matching and minimising waste
- Working with your line manager and on own initiative to ensure the fabric cutting processes are completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Ensuring all fabric orders requested for despatch are prioritised in a manner for maximum efficiency
- Working in conjunction with sales team and wider business network when needed to fulfil requests or complete fabric enquiries
- Ensuring the cutting floor is always covered/never unattended to ensure maximum productivity and pick and pack manager is clear
General Warehouse Op Responsibilities:
- Ensure goods received are in good condition, document any damaged or missing packaging with the courier and report to your line manager.
- Notify relevant colleagues by sending out ‘goods received’ email upon receipt of deliveries.
- Unload the delivered goods from vehicles by hand.
- Distribute received goods to recipient departments (Sampling, Production, Despatch, etc.) and submit delivery note to purchasing clerk.
- Ensure all goods are packed neatly, securely, and to best practice document
- Attach airway bills, delivery notes and relevant shipping documents/care advice to the parcels prior to collection.
- Provide shipping information (weight, dimensions, number of parcels) for warehouse administrator.
- Hand over goods to couriers and provide proof of collection to file
- Pick the fabric rolls for cutting and put used rolls back to stock shelves
- Open fire exit in main warehouse at the beginning of the day and close it at the end of the day.
- Ensure the highest warehouse standards are in place. Keep fabric stock on shelves neat and tidy, reorganise areas if necessary. Keep areas swept, clean and clear inside and outside.
- Monitor packaging material and request stock if necessary.
- Ad-hoc duties when required to meet the needs of the business.
Key requirements:

- Stable employment history
- Previous warehouse experience preferred
- Previous experience of working with fabrics or within the luxury industry advantageous
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good work ethic
- Physically fit – manual role
