Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator. This role sees the individual working within a small team to help oversee daily logistics operations, coordinate shipments, maintain accurate records and support the wider operations team to ensure timely delivery and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Shipment Coordination
- Arrange and track inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery.
- Check inbound stock orders for storing or assembly, order picking and dispatching.
- Assemble kits from scratch with all relevant components and paperwork as directed ready for dispatch and part-assembly of other kits.
- Handle inbound biological samples, ensuring their viability and prepare outbound samples for shipping to laboratories by ensuring samples are stored and packaged securely in accordance with laboratory requirements.
- Carry out accurate stock checking and replenishing.
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation.
Administrative & System Management
- Maintain accurate records across logistics and inventory management systems.
- Liaise with couriers and customers to ensure needs are consistently met.
- Update shipment status, delivery dates and stock levels.
- Assist the Logistics Team in implementing effective processes and ensuring continuous improvement throughout the logistics operations.
- Adhere to relevant health and safety regulations.
Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Provide clear delivery updates to internal teams and customers.
- Resolve logistics-related queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Work closely with the wider Customer Service and Operations teams to optimise customer fulfilment processes.

Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
- Experience in a logistics, supply chain or coordination role.
- Knowledge of domestic and international shipping processes.
- Understanding of inventory management.
Desirable:
- Experience using WMS systems.
- Knowledge of customs and compliance requirements.
Experience working in a fast paced logistics environment would be an advantage.
