As a growing care provider, we are looking for an experienced and proactive Registered Manager to join us at an exciting stage of our development.

About the Role
As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the safe, effective and compliant management of the domiciliary care service.
You will lead our care team, oversee the quality of care provided to clients, maintain CQC compliance and work closely with clients, families, healthcare professionals and commissioners.
You will also play an important role in the growth and development of the business, helping to develop referral relationships and increase our client base while ensuring that quality and safeguarding remain at the heart of everything we do.
This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced care professional who is organised, approachable, commercially aware and passionate about delivering excellent care.
Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and operation of the domiciliary care service.
- Ensure the service consistently delivers safe, effective, compassionate and person-centred care.
- Maintain full compliance with CQC regulations, fundamental standards and relevant legislation.
- Promote a strong culture of safeguarding and ensure safeguarding concerns are identified, reported, investigated and appropriately managed.
- Ensure care plans, risk assessments and other care documentation are accurate, person-centred and regularly reviewed.
- Monitor the quality and safety of care through audits, spot checks, care reviews, observations, feedback and quality assurance processes.
- Manage incidents, complaints, concerns and safeguarding matters appropriately and ensure lessons are identified and acted upon.
- Recruit, induct, supervise, support and retain a high-quality team of care professionals.
- Ensure staff have the appropriate qualifications, training, competency and support to deliver high-quality care.
- Monitor staff performance, attendance, conduct, training and compliance, taking appropriate action where required.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels, rotas and continuity of care are maintained.
- Work closely with clients, families, advocates and representatives to understand and respond to individual needs and preferences.
- Build effective professional relationships with NHS teams, social care professionals, local authorities, hospital discharge teams, community teams and other referral partners.
- Support assessments and the development of care packages in accordance with clients' needs.
- Ensure effective communication between clients, carers, families and external professionals.
- Maintain accurate, confidential and secure records in accordance with GDPR and company policies.
- Lead continuous improvement within the service and implement action plans where required.
- Prepare for and support CQC inspections and regulatory reviews, ensuring the service is inspection-ready.
- Monitor key performance indicators and service performance.
- Ensure company policies, procedures and governance arrangements are consistently implemented.
- Act as a senior point of contact for clients, families, staff and external professionals.
- Support the development and implementation of recruitment and retention strategies.
- Contribute to the growth of the business by developing professional relationships and identifying appropriate opportunities for new care packages.
- Help establish Heart2Heart Care's reputation for providing reliable, high-quality and person-centred home care in the local community.
- Promote a positive, inclusive and supportive culture where staff feel valued and clients receive the highest standard of care.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Registered Manager within domiciliary/home care.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of CQC regulations, legislation and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrable experience managing and leading care staff.
- Experience with care planning, risk assessments, safeguarding and quality assurance.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a busy and growing environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable Requirements
- Level 3 or Level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
- Previous experience successfully managing a CQC-regulated domiciliary care service.
- Experience using care management software such as PASS, Birdie or Access Care Planning.
- Experience conducting care assessments, care reviews and staff spot checks.
- Experience working with NHS, local authority, social care or hospital discharge teams.
- Experience developing referral and professional networks.
- Experience supporting business development within the health and social care sector.
- Experience with recruitment, staff retention and workforce planning.
- Understanding of local health and social care commissioning and referral pathways.
