Established over 20 years ago, Freemans (Milford Haven) Ltd, has established ourselves as one of the longest serving and largest bodyshops' in West Wales. In addition to vehicle repairs and servicing the Company is expanding it's business interests into property and require a dedicated grounds/maintenance person.
Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Grounds/Handy Person to join our team at Freemans. This role is vital in ensuring our properties are safe, attractive, and well-maintained, reflecting our commitment to quality and community service. The ideal candidate will be proactive, skilled in various maintenance tasks, and passionate about creating a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance to keep outdoor areas attractive and safe.
- Use hand tools and power tools for general repairs and upkeep.
- Assist with gardening, horticulture, and irrigation tasks.
- Operate equipment such as excavators when necessary.
- Conduct routine maintenance of store facilities and surrounding areas.
- Support construction or renovation projects as needed.
- Ensure all outdoor areas comply with safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience with landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture.
- Mechanical knowledge and experience using hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to operate basic equipment; experience with excavators is a plus.
- Strong maintenance skills with a proactive approach.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems is desirable.
- Construction or building experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
