Overview
We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our growing team. We welcome applications from both permanent employees and self-employed subcontractors.
The successful candidate will carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance, fault finding, testing and inspection, and occasional installation work across a range of commercial and industrial sites. You'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting electrical systems to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our clients' facilities.
This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team. You'll also take part in a paid on-call rota (1 week in every 6), providing out-of-hours support to our clients when required.

Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Install, modify, and upgrade electrical wiring, panels, and components in accordance with safety standards.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to carry out maintenance tasks.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure minimal downtime of machinery and facilities.
- Ensure all work complies with current health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of electrical projects or upgrades as required.
Requirements
- Qualified Electrician with a City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent electrical qualification.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
- Testing & Inspection qualification (2391 or equivalent).
- Gold ECS Card.
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance within commercial and/or industrial environments.
- Strong fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, inspection, testing, and repairs.
- Good understanding of current electrical regulations and health & safety requirements.
- Ability to work independently and manage your workload, as well as work effectively as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer service.
