Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team on a temporary 3-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and the ability to handle heavy lifting as part of daily operations.
Duties
- Drive a van or similar vehicle to deliver products to designated locations.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transit.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including documentation of any discrepancies or damages.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Assist in warehouse duties as required, including inventory management and organisation of stock.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Valid driving licence; experience in commercial driving is an advantage.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is beneficial.
- A proactive attitude towards safety and compliance with regulations is essential.
