Duties

- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of food production.
- Manage food safety protocols, maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment.
- Oversee food presentation, ensuring dishes are visually appealing and served promptly.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste through effective stock management.
- Train new team members in food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and customer service expectations.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintain a positive team atmosphere by demonstrating leadership, organisation, and motivation.
Skills
- Proven experience in food production, cooking, and kitchen management within a hospitality or restaurant setting.
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards.
- Excellent culinary skills with an eye for detail in presentation and flavour balance.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Good organisational skills with the capacity to oversee food preparation schedules and inventory control.
- Experience in hospitality service including serving customers when required.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
