Job Overview
We are expanding our Quality Control Team and are recruiting for a Trainee Inspector. Our
business produces machined components made from engineered plastics, we serve a
global customer base in the fields of aerospace, medical, electronics, valves and general
engineering sectors, our customers demand the highest levels of quality and to meet these
exacting standards we are an AS9100 registered business.
The role of a Trainee Inspector is to learn the inspection processes and measurement
equipment utilised by the QC team and to fulfil the administrative requirements of the Quality Control department.
Duties
The role has several development stages and full training will be provided. Initially, the
day-day responsibilities of a Trainee Inspector are to ensure that the admin and reporting
tasks of the QC department are completed. Liaising with the production team to ensure
timely preparation of upcoming jobs is completed.
Progressing on from this, training will be given to develop your inspection measurement
skills across the full range of equipment utilised by the QC team, gaining an understanding
of technical drawings and inspection principles.
Further to this you will be trained to conduct all stages of quality control checks, first-off
inspection, patrol and batch/final release. Handling non-conformances and participating in
corrective & preventive action (CAPA) activities.
Skills and Experience
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work on own initiative whilst being a team player
- Experience of parts sorting and finishing work is advantageous
- Knowledge of technical drawings or measurement skills is beneficial
- A methodical thinker with great attention to detail
We operate double day shift: Monday to Thursday 6.00-14.00 or 13.30-22.00 and Friday's 6.00-14.00 or 13.30-18.40.
Pay: £30,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
