We are recruiting a Business Development Executive on a 12-month fixed term contract basis to join our Business Development and Marketing team in our Taunton office. As the Business Development Executive, you will be joining a friendly, and supportive team of 12. This is a highly varied role that will give you a unique opportunity to broaden your experience, you’ll be supporting with a host of activities that include networking events, research activities, supporting with client enquiries, and supporting with Business Development plans.
This is an exciting opportunity providing BD support to our high-profile Agriculture Sector, as well as other key stakeholders in our Taunton office. We welcome applications from candidates desiring part time work (22.5 hours per week).
Day to day, you’ll be successful in this role by:
Event Planning & Delivery
- Delivering high-quality client-facing events, including networking receptions, seminars, workshops and flagship events such as the Taunton Client Drinks Party.
- Coordinating all aspects of event planning and delivery, from invitations and registrations through to venue management and post-event follow-up.
- Ensuring excellent client experiences before, during and after events.
- Managing event budgets effectively and ensuring activities are delivered within agreed resources
Agriculture Sector & Business Development Support
- Supporting Clarke Willmott's Agriculture Sector through the organisation of attendance at agricultural shows, conferences, exhibitions and industry networking events.
- Coordinating, attending and minuting the Agriculture Sector and Taunton Office Monthly Business Development meetings.
- Helping to increase Clarke Willmott's visibility and profile within the agricultural community and the wider Taunton business market.
- Managing various sponsorship agreements and working with external providers to maximise benefits.
- Researching and recommending relevant networking, sponsorship and business development opportunities.
- Producing reports, attendee analysis and activity updates to support informed decision-making.
Client & Stakeholder Relationship Management
- Building strong working relationships with partners, lawyers, clients, contacts and external suppliers.
- Identifying opportunities to strengthen relationships with clients, contacts and key stakeholders.
- Collaborating with colleagues across the firm to ensure business development and marketing activity is delivered effectively and consistently.
- Bringing energy, initiative and new ideas to support client engagement, relationship building and business growth.
- Undertaking any other duties or responsibilities reasonably requested by your line manager or the Business Development and Marketing Director.
