About Us
The Skipton Hotel is a well-established hotel and dining destination, offering high-quality food and exceptional service to both hotel guests and local visitors. We are looking for a talented and passionate Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team and help maintain our high culinary standards.
The Role
As Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for running your designated section of the kitchen, ensuring food is prepared and presented to the highest standards. You will work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver a consistent and memorable dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your section to a consistently high standard.
- Maintain excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards.
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and minimising food waste.
- Support junior kitchen team members through training and guidance.
- Ensure all food is prepared and served in line with company standards and specifications.
- Contribute ideas for menu development and seasonal specials.
- Work effectively as part of a busy and professional kitchen team.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Commis Chef ready to progress.
- Good knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
- A passion for fresh food and high-quality presentation.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Food Safety and Hygiene certification is desirable.
