The Role
As Clinical Lead, you'll work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the delivery of exceptional clinical care and regulatory compliance across the home.
You'll lead the nursing team, drive quality improvements, oversee clinical governance, support staff development and continue to work as part of the nursing rota, ensuring residents receive the highest standards of care.
This is a key leadership position with real influence over clinical standards, resident outcomes and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide visible clinical leadership across the home.
- Lead, coach and develop Registered Nurses and care staff.
- Ensure high-quality, evidence-based, person-centred care.
- Lead clinical audits, care planning and quality improvement initiatives.
- Oversee medication management and clinical governance.
- Ensure compliance with NMC standards, CQC regulations and safeguarding requirements.
- Support occupancy through high-quality assessments and resident reviews.
- Deputise for the Home Manager during periods of absence.
- Promote a positive, supportive and collaborative culture.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Current NMC registration (RGN or RMN).
- Previous experience as a Clinical Lead, Deputy Manager, Senior Nurse or similar leadership role within a care home.
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, clinical governance and care planning.
- Experience leading, mentoring and developing nursing teams.
- Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional care and improving clinical standards.
