The Role
We are currently seeking a professional and motivated CCTV / Security Officer to join our team at The Meadows Shopping Centre. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a 4 on / 4 off day shift rota.
As a key member of the security team, you will play an important role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for tenants, visitors, contractors, and staff, while delivering outstanding customer service at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate CCTV systems in accordance with site procedures, legislation, and company policies.
- Conduct regular patrols throughout the shopping centre and surrounding areas.
- Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, emergencies, and security breaches.
- Maintain a visible security presence to deter theft, anti-social behaviour, and other unwanted activity.
- Liaise with emergency services and other external agencies when required.
- Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate security records.
- Assist customers, visitors, and tenants with enquiries in a professional and helpful manner.
- Ensure compliance with all site-specific security procedures and Health & Safety regulations.
Candidate Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence or Security Guarding Licence.
- A valid SIA CCTV (Public Space Surveillance) Licence.
- Previous experience in a security and/or CCTV-related role.
- Shopping centre or retail security experience (desirable but not essential).
- Strong observational skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A reliable, flexible, and professional approach to work.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
