About the role
The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery and enhancement of teaching across Aston Law School's undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
You will contribute to the design, delivery and assessment of modules, support student learning and development, and help create an engaging and inclusive learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds. You will contribute to curriculum enhancement, module development and quality assurance activities, while working collaboratively with colleagues across the School.
The role also involves supporting student attainment, progression and employability, making effective use of educational technologies, and engaging in scholarly and professional activities that enhance teaching quality and student outcomes.
In particular, we are looking for colleagues to contribute to the teaching activities of Aston Law School primarily in one or more of the areas below, whether independently or as part of a team: Criminal law Contract/ commercial/ corporate law
About you
You will hold a qualifying law degree or equivalent legal qualification and have experience of teaching and assessment in higher education.
You will be committed to delivering an excellent and inclusive student experience, with the ability to engage and support students from diverse backgrounds. You will have experience of developing teaching materials, using digital technologies to enhance learning, and contributing to module or curriculum development.
You will be an effective communicator who enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues and students and is committed to professional development and continuous improvement in legal education. Fellowship of Advance HE (or a willingness to obtain it) and postgraduate study in Law or a related discipline are desirable.
