Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Self Employed Painter and Decorator to join our dynamic team. This role offers the flexibility of working independently while delivering high-quality painting and decorating services across various projects. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and attention to detail
- Interpret project specifications and work plans to deliver results that meet client expectations
- Manage your own schedule and coordinate with clients to plan project timelines effectively
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following health and safety regulations at all times
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding project progress, timelines, and any adjustments needed
- Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained in excellent condition for optimal performance
Experience
- Proven experience in construction painting and decorating with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- Valid driving license to facilitate transportation between different job sites
- Excellent communication skills in English to interact confidently with clients and team members
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, work orders, and project specifications accurately
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures related to painting, decorating, and construction sites
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while managing multiple projects efficiently
